Get yourself a pair of tailor-made lenses to ensure that you enjoy the best possible vision
Every pair of eyes is different. So it only follows that every individual lens should be different too! During your eye test at SED Optical Eyecare, your visual needs will be analysed and then catered for. But what different lenses do we offer?
Single Vision Lenses
These lenses have one prescription across the entire surface for one visual need. If our opticians find you to be short or long-sighted, these may be the lenses that are recommended to you.
Bifocal Lenses
If you require two different prescriptions, such as one for seeing in the distance and one for close up work, then a bifocal lens can help you. Rather than having to change between two single vision glasses, you can take advantage of a lens that has one prescription in the top half of the lens and another in the bottom half.
Progressive Lenses
Similarly to bifocal lenses, progressive lenses can contain more than one prescription. However, these lenses differ to bifocals in that there is not a specific ‘segment’ that contains the prescription. Instead, the prescription is gradually spread across the glasses, so your prescription to see far away is at the top of the lens and slowly turns into your close up prescription at the bottom. Many people find progressive lenses extremely convenient and comfortable to wear.
Additionally, you can also benefit from our range of lens coatings that will help your glasses fit into your lifestyle, such as scratch-resistance and anti-glare.
